AirOps alternatives
An honest look at AirOps — what it costs, what the entry plan actually includes, and where it's genuinely good. Then what we do differently. Every figure below was read from AirOps's own website on 26 September 2026.
What is AirOps?
AirOps calls itself "the growth platform for AI search". It was founded in 2022 by Alex Halliday, Matt Hammel and Berna Gonzalez, has offices in New York and San Francisco, and says it has raised $60M, most recently a $40M Series B led by Greylock in November 2025.
Its Insights product tracks visibility, recommendations, citations, sentiment and position on answer engines including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and breaks the results down by model, region, topic, buying stage and competitor.
Most of the platform is about producing content: workflows, an agent called Quill that drafts refreshes of existing pages, brand kits, knowledge bases and CMS integrations. Plans are metered in content tasks rather than prompts.
Where is AirOps genuinely strong?
- ✓Ties visibility data directly to content work: its Insights feed workflows and an agent (Quill) that drafts page refreshes for human review.
- ✓Detailed breakdowns of visibility by model, audience, region, topic, buying stage, competitor and source.
- ✓Unlimited seats on Pro, with brand kits and knowledge bases to keep generated content on-brand.
- ✓Well funded: $60M raised to date, including a $40M Series B led by Greylock in November 2025.
Where does AirOps fall short?
- ✕No public dollar pricing.
- ✕The Solo plan tracks ChatGPT only; other engines start on Pro.
- ✕Prompt limits are not published, and Pro's "7+ answer engines" are not all named.
Where CoreCited is different
What do people ask about AirOps?
How much does AirOps cost?
AirOps does not publish a price. No price is published. The pricing page lists Solo (ChatGPT insights only, 35,000 content tasks a month, one user), Pro (insights across 7+ answer engines, 100,000 tasks, unlimited seats) and Enterprise, all without dollar amounts. Anything you read elsewhere claiming a specific figure was not taken from their own page, because there is not one to take.
Does AirOps have a free plan?
A 14-day free trial, with no payment details needed until it ends. No free plan. It is worth reading that carefully: in this category "free" most often means a time-limited trial with a card up front, which is a different thing from a plan that stays free.
Which AI engines does AirOps track?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode — 6 surfaces as listed on their own site. Counts in this category are not always comparable: some tools count a model and the product built on it as two engines, so compare the named surfaces rather than the number.
Is there a cheaper alternative to AirOps?
AirOps does not publish a price, so a direct comparison is not possible. Rankscale is the cheapest published entry point in this table at $20 a month, and CoreCited starts at $69.
What does AirOps not do?
No public dollar pricing. The Solo plan tracks ChatGPT only; other engines start on Pro. Prompt limits are not published, and Pro's "7+ answer engines" are not all named. One thing it shares with every tool here, including ours: none of them can tell you how much traffic Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode sent you. Search Console counts those clicks as ordinary organic search and no API separates them. Referrals from ChatGPT and other assistants are different: they show up in analytics as their own sources.
